SCENIC LOOP DRIVE, VISITING AN HISTORIC WESTERN TOWN

AND A NATURAL WONDER BILLIONS OF YEARS OLD

The canyons and red rocks in the areas surrounding Las Vegas will surprise you with a medley of colors created by Mother Nature. Red Rock Canyon is located about 35 miles outside Las Vegas. Red Rock gets its name from the striking red sandstone formations found throughout the valley. The contrast of the red sandstone against the gray limestone is an impressive sight. Be prepared to see some strikingly dramatic scenery! The area is so exquisite that it is often used for movie sets and commercials.

The wild west is still as wild as ever in Old Nevada, a replica of an 1880’s mining town built on the 150 acre Bonnie Springs Ranch. You can visit the past again. Bonnie Springs Old Nevada is John Wayne country. You’ll experience boarded sidewalks that creak pleasantly under your feet, saloons, tumbleweed, stagecoaches,

and even a Boot Hill graveyard.
